Can I feed Milk-Bone® treats to my puppy?
For puppies, we recommended our Milk-Bone® Puppy Biscuits, which are specially formulated for dogs one year and younger. As with any pet product labeled as a treat or snack, Milk-Bone® dog treats should not be substituted for a balanced diet, and treats should make up no more than 10% of your puppy or small dog's caloric intake. As you would with any new food or treat, keep a watchful eye on your dog as he or she is enjoying our treats. You may want to consider breaking or cutting the treats into smaller pieces if your dog has a tendency to swallow food without chewing.
Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews® are not recommended for puppies. Puppies have unique nutritional needs as they grow and Brushing Chews are formulated for adult dogs.
